Dear AMMRL Colleagues,
I am sure this question has come up before, but perhaps not exactly in
this form. We have an INOVA instrument with a 10 year old Sun Ultra-1
which we are trying to upgrade to a PC running LINUX. The instrument has
a wide bore with Chemagnetics solids accessory. The controller for the
solids probe runs off a RS232 which is being shared (with an A/B switch
box) with the controller for the Zymark robot auto sampler.
Has anyone done a similar upgrade on a system with this configuration?
If so, what were the problems and how did you overcome them? We are
getting our own PC (Dell 390N) with Linux(4.0u3)preinstalled and I am
purchasing the VNMRJ version 2.1B. Any pointers on software installation
and debugging will also be appreciated.
