All,

I want to thank everyone that responded to our question about LN2 transfer lines. If anyone is interested in the responses that I received back, I could put out a summary. What we went with is described in Julie's e-mail:

Best Regards,
Kurt

Kurt,

Here are the details on our new N2 transfer line. It is being manufactured by Forberg Scientific (contact: Mark A. Schniekart). Apparently they do a lot of work for Lubrizol. The Machine shop put me in contact with him.

½" ID x 6' OAL type 316 S.S. Braided metal hose w/S.S Armour guard full length

Both ends will have a female JIC flare fitting. This fitting will screw onto the dewar. The NMR end of the hose will have a male fitting which will couple to the fitting machined for us by LZ shop. They have been shown the fitting on the NMR inlet and know how to make a similar one.

The cost of the hose from Forberg is $178.20. There will be an additional charge for the fitting from the shop. They didn't seem to think it would be all that much.

The hose was ordered by the shop this morning. I believe it should be delivered within 5-7 days.
