The Pharmacia Corporation, Skokie, IL, has an immediate opening for a Senior
Instrumentation Engineer to maintain eight NMR spectrometers. The
successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting equipment
malfunctions, ordering parts, performing repairs and interfacing with
vendors. Other responsibilities will performing periodic
maintenance/maintenance checks, installing/overseeing vendor installation of
new hardware/software, and supporting the open access NMR Laboratories.
Degree/Experience: Requires BSE or equivalent in Electronics training; 3-5
years experience in maintaining/repairing NMR equipment; and highly
developed skills in troubleshooting and repair of complex mechanical,
electronic, and computer equipment. Familiarity with a wide range of test
equipment, such as oscilloscopes, sweep generators, spectrum analyzers, etc.
a must.
