Hi,
We have an MAS/2 pneumatic control unit for our old DPX 300MHz system. The unit was installed in 2012, and just last week suddenly we found it can not detect solid state sample rotor spinning. After excluding the causes from the rotors, the probes, and the cable, the conclusion is very possibly that the MAS/2 unit itself is bad.
Bruker said they can not repair the unit, and the only option is to get a new replacement.
Is this loss of spinning detection a typical problem for MAS/2 (the unit works fine for other functions), and does anyone have any experience whether it can still be opened and quickly fixed.
Finally, is there any lab who can offer me a used even very old version/fashion pneumatic controller ? Because this system will retire soon, we are quite reluctant to buy a new MAS/2 for it.
Thanks.
