Hello,
Stanford is retiring its Varian/Agilent 800 MHz system at the end of this year because its building is being demolished. The console is being retained for parts, but the rest of it will not be. The system is based on an Oxford 800/63 pumped magnet. Probably not a lot of those left in the world that can use the 51 mm OD probes… Items to be available include:
- the Oxford 800/63 magnet (unshielded, pumped)
- two room temp probes (5 mm HCN, XYZ-grad probes)
- one Gen2 cold probe (5 mm HCN (cold H), Z-grad) and platform (Oxford CCC using Leybold helium compressor and cold head)
- Oxford pumped magnet data logger
- maybe other bits and pieces; inquire
The room temp probes are in the standard Varian hard cases.
Shipping crates/pallets are available for the cold probe and platform.
Interested? Contact me. Experiments are likely to be run right up to the end of the year drop-dead date. Then there will only be a very brief period at the beginning of Jan where the items will be available before being processed as surplus or scrap.
