We are currently re-evaluating how we manage verifying that our instruments are performing nominally. I was wondering what tools various groups are using for routine performance verification for their NMR instrumentation. Historically we have tracked lineshape and S/N. We had one instrument that was suitable for the Agilent auto-test routine, but the tests became corrupt somehow and we've been unable to repair the corruption. Do many groups make use of statistical process control type charts to verify nominal operation? What tests do you manage under the SPC controls?
