Dear friends,

I recently bought a HP3005 printer which has both parrell and USB connections for my Sun Ultra 10 workstations, running Solaris 8 and Vnmr61C. Setting the printer under parrell port is easy. I want to use the USB connection to connect the printer to my offline workstation as well, so that both workstations can print even when the network is down. The standard "adddevices" interface under vnmr61C does not have an option for USB printer connection. I googled a little bit, and it seems doable after Solaris 8 10/00 and mine is newer than that. So I am wondering whether anyone has a cookbook recipe on how to set up a USB printer and how to instruct vnmr61C recognize and use this USB printer, if this indeed can be done.

Thanks a lot.

Regards,

Wei Li
