Tecmag, inc., located in Houston, is seeking a Physicist or Mechanical
Engineer to manage a project funded by the Department of Energy. The
candidate must have a MS in Physics or a MSME. Knowledge of permanent
magnets and how to manufacture them is an absolute requirement. This is a
new position, as this project has just started.
Responsibilities include:
-Implement novel methods for designing and manufacturing homogeneous
permanent magnets
-Document the design and manufacturing processes
-Manage outside suppliers in the manufacturing process
-Develop quality control and incoming inspection procedures
Qualifications required:
-Master's degree in Physics or Mechanical Engineering
-2 to 5 years experience designing/documenting mechanical systems
-Familiarity with numerically-controlled and electric-discharge machining
technologies (EDM)
-Familiarity with engineering CAD packages AutoCAD or Solid Works
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-Excellent interpersonal skills
-Proven ability to succeed in a multi-tasking environment
