Dear colleagues
I had 35 responses at my survey on research duties of NMR managers.
I thank to all people who answered. I am happy with the results and I will
try to use them in negotiation with administration.
The results are as follow:
1-Type of position
1a) 3% (1 response) are in tenure-track position
1b) 66% (23 responses) have a staff permanent position (not a tenure-track)
1c) 31% (11 responses) have a renewable position
2-Research duties
2a) 57% (20 responses) contribute to research of more than one professor
2b) 3% (1 response) contribute to research of only one professor
2c) 40% (14 responses) do not have research duties
3-Individual research
3a) 20% (7 responses) do have an individual research (externally funded)
program
3b) 14% (5 responses) hope for an individual research program in future
3c) 66% (23 responses) do not have an individual research program
