NMR SPECTROMETRIST: A permanent staff position is immediately available in
the Structural Biology NMR Facility at Northwestern University. Duties
include operation and maintenance of a 600 MHz NMR spectrometer, equipment
troubleshooting, user training, and data analysis. Ideal candidates will
have a Ph.D. degree and a strong background in NMR spectrometer hardware,
pulse sequence programming, and NMR structure determination of biological
macromolecules. The Structural Biology NMR Facility has a recently
upgraded four-channel Varian Inova 600 MHz NMR instrument equipped with
pulsed-field gradients, a deuterium decoupling accessory and a full
complement of 5 mm and 8 mm high-resolution probes to perform
state-of-the-art biomolecular NMR experiments. The Facility has in
addition, several SGI O2 workstations for data processing, analysis, and
structure determination. Excellent opportunities for research and
collaboration with Northwestern faculty exist. The salary for this
position will be commensurate with experience and a full benefits program
