Hi Guillermo,
We have a very similar system (Avance 400 and O2) which used to crash more
often than it does now. I have not been able to figure that out. I
looked at this problem from many angles, pinpointed the time of crash from
instrument log and reservation log, checked other x-window
processes, large data transfer but I could not take any step to prevent it
from happening again. It still happens, but very rarely - once in every
2 -3 months. When it crashes, you can not log in to the computer remotely
to boot it up. You have to turn the system off and turn it back on to restart.
Nothing to help you though,
Best wishes,
Sandip
