Hello all,
I have one Bruker DRX400 console, two magnets (one 400Mhz standard bore,
one 4.7 Tesla (200Mhz) imaging magnet). The console is hooked up for the
imaging system and running fine (but rarely used) now. The console was
tested on the 400 magnet and run fine independantly too. My goal is to
be able to switch between the two magnets using the existing console with
minimum works (both hardware and software) before we get another console.
The following is my thought:
Hardware: I think I have all the hardware needed. I'll need to
switch the HPPR/probe cables and the shim cable. Sample handling will
connect to the 400 magnet. The details between bsms and the magnets
need to be worked out though.
Software: the sgi O2 has one copy of xwinnmr (v. 2.6) on it and is
configured for the imaging. I want to install another copy of xwinnmr in
other location and configure it for the 400. This way I don't need to
configure it everytime if I want to switch between them. I think I can
have two copies of xwinnmr in one computer, right? Or do you think I
should get a PC running linux and put xwinnmr on it?
This is an odd case. But just for creativity your comments, please.
