We need a new survey. I can hear everyone now saying; "Yeah right."
I need to get a better salary for a staff person. A breif general
description of his duties is:
*Performs routine maintenance and repair of equipment and cryogens fills
for 7 NMR spectrometers.
* Acquires service spectra of liquid and solid state samples for any NMR
active nucleus.
*Provides instruction in modern solution and solid state NMR techniques to
undergraduate, graduate students, postdocs and faculty.
*Provides expert consultation for interpretation of NMR spectra.
*Attends national NMR conferences
*Helps in the construction of new NMR equipment and probes.
* Provides external contract spectra for other universities and industry.
If your facility has such a person, could you please respond with the
following info:
1) salary
2) degree level
3) years in position at your institution
4) years in his/her profession
