We have some surplus equipment: a vintage 1983 Varian XL-300 console,
working for 1H when it was turned off, but broadband electronics in need
of repair; and 300 MHz R2-D2 magnet, which was meeting boiloff specs. It
is currently at room temperature and still under vacuum.
The primary concern of the proprietors is to clear the space the
instrument is in prior to the start of renovation work, at minimum cost.
There is no budget for packing and shipping anything, and no underemployed
Santa's elves in the vicinity, either ... this is basically come and get
it, or hire someone (preferably not The Three Stooges) to move it for you.
