When running on protons we are not getting an FID on the VDU or
indeed stored on the ASPECT.
1. the X nuclei still work
2. the proton decoupler works
3. we have tried different probes
4. the relay in the preamp box has been checked as has the preamp
5. the pulses get into the probe and an FID can be traced using a
scope as far as the preamp output.
6. something is getting digitised as we can see a spike which can be
removed using a large DE
8. the signal on the VDU bears a remarkable resemblance to the
"signal" seen when using a tuning block
9. the fault happened suddenly.
We are all baffled here
