To JEOL, or not JEOL that's the question

Dear AMMRL members
We are planning to buy a 300 MHz spectrometer in the very near future. We
obtained the prices from Bruker, JEOL and Varian (in alphabetical order) from
which we descovered that JEOL is very significantly lower that the
competition.
It is difficult to evaluate how equivalent the systems are but for our use
(costume synthesis and research in organic chemistry) our needs are pretty
simple: proton and carbon in organic solvents, occacionaly some 2-D, might be
an NOE here and there...
I would like to know oppinions, experiences using the JEOL machine
(reliability, ease to use the new software, costumer service, etc); how would
you compare its technology with the other brands; and in the long run, is it
worth to spend some money on Bruker or Varian?
Currently we operate a Bruker WP-100SY which is agging very fast...
If anybody is interested in the answers of these questions, please ask me and
I will forward the to you
Thanks in advance (Avance, Eclipse or Mercury?)
