I haven't dealt with the spinner assembly, but I do have one suggestion and
that is get tools made from BeCu. I think you can get them from MR
Resources. They are also available from tool vendors (a few of them
anyway) as nonsparking tools. They can be expensive, $30 to $50 per tool,
but worth it if you avoid a quench or injury. There are other nonmagnetic
materials, but BeCu is the strongest and tools made from the others are
probably not commercially available.
