Inverse on Varian 4 nucleus Auto.NMR probe

We are in the process of replacing the ancient console on our AM300.
In onder to keep the probe purchsas to a minimum, we are
considering doing gradient enhanced inverse experiments on something
like a Bruker QNP probe with Z gradient or, since we are considering
both vendors, the Varian 4 nucleus PFG Auto.NMR probe. I have already
posted a request to the Bruker group, but I am curious to know what sort of
experiences Varian users have had doing this type of experiment (e.g.
gradient
HMQC and HMBC) on these switchable probes?

I have also been told that the Varian version has a broadband mode. Is this
correct? What sort of performance can be obtained in this mode?

Please Email me directly and I will post a summary. For some reason, I
seemed
to be dropped from this group a while back (The reports of my death were
greatly
exagerated!) and, although I have re-joined, I'm not sure how long it will
take
to get the mail grout postings.

Cheers,
-Kirk
