In addition, this is the sample with which I set standard shims.
Users are expected to keep this standard in the magnet after use,
preferably locked with proper settings for lock power & gain (and field...).
"Standard" shims are kept in a shim file named such that it appears at the
top of the shim file list (one for each probe).
I provide a macro so that the users don't even have to look at the list,
they just type "shims" to call in the standard shims.
I also have a macro which I run whenever the probe is changed to guarantee
that "shims" calls in the correct shim file <like "edhead">
(as well as do all those other little things that have to be done when
changing probe that I always forget in my old age)
