Responsibilities
Work under the guidance/direction of the facility director, the incumbent is
responsible for assisting the director to run the FSU-NMR facility
<
http://www.chem.fsu.edu/research/research-facilities/nmrlab/>, currently including
5 solution NMR spectrometers from 400 MHz and 700 MHz, and one 500MHz for solid-state NMR.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
NMR Lab Routine Maintenance
User Training
Billing
Support
Oversight of NMR Labs
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree and two years' experience. Note: Higher education can
substitute for experience at the equivalent rate.
* NMR lab working experience in an academic setting.
* Experience in training users and handle cryogen refill.
* Ability to move 250 L Dewar with L-He.
* Familiarity with the operation of Bruker NMR spectrometer, topspin and Mnova software.
Preferred
Preferred qualifications include:
* Three or more years of NMR lab working experience in an academic setting.
* Master’s degree (or equivalent international degree) by the start date of the job.
