Solids Sequences for Mercury-300 Equipped with CPMAS Accessory

Covid-19 has shut down my access to the local college where I ran any
solid-state NMR experiments that my customers requested on an older
UnityPlus 200 running 6.1c. It may well be that this closure to "outsiders"
accessing the chemistry department will be permanent.

I am therefore falling back on my stockpile of acquired Varian bits and
pieces and converting one of my in-house liquid systems to solids.

I have 3 CP-MAS probes - I have one that is behaving well from an MAS
standpoint.

One of my MercuryPlus 300 systems is equipped with an AMT amp and some high
power preamps. It is running VnmrJ 4.2a. Looking at the software there are
no options for solids sequences loaded up.

I tried compiling a couple of old solidslib sequences in the VnmrJ 4.2
environment (xpolar and vacp) but neither would compile successfully. I
tried this because I am familiar with these sequences.

I am thinking of loading up just a few of the sequences in Solidspack. I
really only need a CP and an SP sequence as most of the work is 29Si or 13C
performed in a very straightforward manner. However, I am worried about
whether the solidspack sequences are appropriate for MercuryPlus hardware.

Another possibility is that I fire up one of my old sun workstations that
were operating with 6.1C and switch the workstation when I do solids

Does anyone have any insight into what I should do from the software
standpoint?

Thanks,

John
