Hi all,
Thanks to all of you for some excellent suggestions - we're most likely going with Booked (
https://www.bookedscheduler.com). So far it seems very powerful and flexible and has many nice features such as viewing without login and concurrent bookings. Also reservations can be emailed to users and it's free if you host it yourself.
Installation was straightforward except for config file and postfix permissions, which turned out to be SELinux issues (I'm using CentOS 7).
Other suggestions: Supersaas (https://www.supersaas.com), Calcium (https://www.brownbearsw.com/calcium/), homemade programs, Google calendars, Skedda (www.skedda.com<http://www.skedda.com>), FACES (https://faces.ccrc.uga.com), and FOM (https://www.fomnetworks.com/). Protasis also has some software.

Subject: scheduling software - seeing calendar before log in and/or on cell phone
Hi all,
We're starting to talk open slowly reopening the department at McGill, and one thing that comes up a lot of scheduling of instrumentation and other equipment (e.g. fumehoods) to keep people from being too close to each other. Does anyone have a recommendation for software that would show the schedule without needing to log in, for quick reference, and/or is easy to use from a personal cell phone rather than from a (potentially) shared computer?
Thank you!
Robin
