Hi all. Our undergrad only department went to a TecMag console about 18 months ago and recently upgraded to TecMag 3. Since the NMR manager is an organic chemist, (not a spectroscopist), has a heavy teaching load (4-4) and is generally as slacker (ok, I’m the NMR manager), we’ve never quite gotten the NMR up to its full capability.
I really need some mentoring to help me get this NMR to the point that we can reliably get good 1H, 13C, DEPT and basic 2D spectra without having to fight with the software for hours every time we try to use it.
I’m feeling really guilty that my untenured colleagues and their students are having their research progress hampered by my lack of time and knowledge.
We can probably do most of this by phone, email and maybe Skype.
