Dear Alex,
In addition to Triangle Analytical, there are several other people who could help:

Dick Marsh ( 508-517-8341 dickmrpf_at_ix.netcom.com<mailto:dickmrpf_at_ix.netcom.com> )
Both John and Dick are independent contractors who have moved Oxford and Magnex magnets for us. It is possible that they would have the missing parts needed to work on your Magnex magnet.
Two years ago, when we needed to move a 1993-era 400 MHz/105 mm Magnex magnet, Doug Lyons from Bruker did an excellent job. However, we had the charging leads and vacuum actuator for the magnet. I don’t know whether they would fit your magnet, but if so, I would be happy to loan them to you.
Best regards,
Ken Fishbein

Subject: AMMRL: Magnex magnet
Dear colleagues, I need your help. One of my Bruker magnets started misbehaving (abnormal boil off). If it becomes worse, there is a chance that we will have to shut down and repair it. There are a few complicating circumstances, however. First, this magnet was made by Magnex Scientific. As I know Magnex Scientific ceased to exist in 2004. Does anybody know if they are still conducting business under different name? Are there still people around who worked for Magnex? Second, somehow I cannot find the energization lead and valve operator for this magnet which are necessary to de-energize and re-energize it(I looked everywhere and could locate these accessories for every other magnet in my possession except for this one). I contacted Triangle Analytical. They can repair Magnex magnets but only if I provide the energization lead and valve operator. Does anybody have these parts for similar Magnex magnets that we can borrow (rent) in case such a need emerges? Is it possible in principle to use energization lead and valve operator from another Magnex magnet or they are strictly individual?
My magnet is 500 MHz, narrow bore, ultrashield. It was manufactured in 2003 and installed by Bruker.
Thanks for your help,
Alex
