AMMRL: USB port or CD/DVD burner for SGI O2

THEY are making me take our old SGI O2 off the network for security reasons. Don't get me started!

Now, we can't get any data off the box. Has anyone put a USB board in or attached a modern CD/DVD burner to an SGI O2? Probably the biggest issue would be drivers, so I am all ears if you have ideas.
