We have a 1994 Bruker-Spectrospin un-shielded 400 MHz narrow-bore(52mm) magnet available for sale or for free - depending on demand. The magnet is still at field, has a helium fill every 200 days, has been on site since 1994 and has given us no problems during this time.
The Bruker Avance DPX console that is attached to the magnet is not fully functioning(requires a pre-amp stack and 1H synth - possibly more) and therefore I will probably retain many parts/probes etc as spares for our other spectrometer.
That said, if someone out there would like to make me a very attractive offer to keep the whole system in one piece then I am happy to discuss any offers. Please feel free to contact me to discuss any offers of cash or statements of interest for free stuff.
