Post-doctoral Position Available in NMR Studies of Glass Structure
Dalhousie University, Halifax, NS Canada
The laboratory managed by Josef Zwanziger has an immediate opening for a
post-doctoral associate with a strong background in NMR studies of glass
structure. This position will be primarily involved with our recently
funded collaborative project with labs in Brazil and Argentina, and is
focused on intermediate range structure in glass and its relation to
crystallization phenomena. Our lab is located in the Department of
Chemistry at Dalhousie University, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, and we
have strong ties to the Institute for Research in Materials, the
Atlantic Region Magnetic Resonance Centre, and the Department of
Physics. NMR instrumentation available for solids includes Bruker
spectrometers operating at 400 MHz and 700 MHz, both equipped with
probes ranging up to 35 kHz spinning, as well as double and triple
resonance capabilities. Please see
http://jwz.chem.dal.ca for more
details. To apply contact Josef Zwanziger at jzwanzig_at_dal.ca.
