VT-in-automation reference request

NMR Users,

Some labs use NMR spectrometers with robotic sample changers to
analyze samples at elevated temperatures by pre-equilibrating the sample's
temperature OUTSIDE of the magnet prior to analysis. We are looking for
any reference showing that this has been done, to show that it is a known
technique. (We are not looking for advice on HOW to do it -- we are just
looking for references.)
Because I myself have seen some labs using this kind of setup, I would
have thought that somebody had published a paper or patent that discussed
the concept, but my searches have so far been non-productive. Do any of
you know of a paper, patent, or conference abstract that uses the concept
of pre-equilibrating the temperature of an NMR sample, in the tube, while
the tube is OUTSIDE of the magnet, prior to a sample changer inserting the
sample into the VT-controlled probe? (Although I have only seen people do
this with high temperatures (i.e, 125 C), papars using sub-ambient
temperatures would be of interest to us as well.)
I have talked to representatives of Bruker and Varian (this work is for
one of them), as well as some NMR-lab managers who work in this area, but
no-one knows of a reference yet, so I am appealing to AMMRL for help.
