Hi Friends:

I received 50 responses about filling N2. I would like to thank you for your kind help. The following is the summary:

(1) What kind of tubing you use to fill N2?

Latex tubing. 46%

Braided line (some use tubing at the magnet end). 33%

Others: 21%


(2) How often do you change the tubing?

Whenever it would crack & start to leak. 75%

One-three years. 19%

Others: 6%


(3) Do you have secondary tubing protection? What is that?

Foam tubing. 10%

No secondary protection. 90%


(4) What kind of personal protection equipment you use when you fill liquid N2?

Use some of the following PPE: Safety glasses, cryogloves, long sleeves, fully enclosed shoes, face shield, non-wetting lab coat. 96%

No PPE. 4%
