         The Department of Chemistry at North Dakota State University has
an immediate faculty opening at the assistant professor level for a
biomolecular NMR spectroscopist. This is a non-tenure track position with
responsibility for operation of the departmental NMR facility, which houses
Varian INOVA 400-, 500-, and Mercury 300-MHZ spectrometers. The successful
candidate will be expected to collaborate with research groups in the
Chemistry Department, participate in user training, and will be afforded
the opportunity to carry out independent research. Qualifications for the
position include a Ph.D. in NMR spectroscopy, experience and expertise in
the study of biomolecular structure and dynamics by NMR, facility with UNIX
and NMR software packages, ability to design and implement pulse sequences,
as well as troubleshoot and maintain NMR instrumentation. Evidence of
strong verbal and written communication skills is also
required. Possibilities exist for participation in graduate and
