Inova MSR problems

Dear Varian users amongst ya'll-

I've been having a problem with the Magnet/Sample regulation (MSR) board
on my Inova300 which I wonder if any one else has had. The board remains
in the "fail" mode, and the acquisition status remains inactive, even
after resetting the acq processor (su acqproc, which resonds fine), a
complete system (unix) reboot and reloading the acquistion software
(setacq). A new MSR board from Varian behaves the same. Of diagnostic
interest, I can "ping" the host and wormhole fine, but inova and inovaauto
(the later supposedly the MSR board) don't respond. I've checked all
appropriate cabling, so we're at a lost (Varian included) on what the
problem may be. Is any one out there aware of interactions with other
boards, etc which may cause the MSR board to remain incognito?

Thanks!!
