The Eppley Institute for Research in Cancer of the University of =
Nebraska Medical Center is seeking candidates for a Director of its =
Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Core Facility. This is a research track =
position. The Director is responsible for the supervision of the =
facility, the operation of high-field NMR instruments, collection and =
primary interpretation of the NMR data on biologically important =
molecules, instrument training of the facility users, software and =
hardware maintenance, and planning for future NMR requirements. =
Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in chemistry or biochemistry, or have an =
equivalent combination of education and research experience, and have a =
track record in the use of high-field NMR in the structural analysis of =
macromolecules. The Director is expected to interact with a =
multi-disciplinary group of scientists and collaborate on research =
projects involving solution structure determination of proteins, =
peptides, carbohydrates and other macromolecules. In addition, the =
Director is expected to have an interest in professional growth through =
technique development and collaborative activities. Salary is very =
competitive and consistent with the level of experience of the =
candidate.
