Dear Friends:
Thanks to all who responded my query "Varian-Oxford 80 days He
holding magnets". All responses indicate that the original problems
in Varian R2D2 magnets have been corrected in the Oxford 80 days
magnets. Their reliability is similar to other magnets. Mr. Mark
Stevenson (Varian magnet engineerer) called me and explained the new
Oxford 80 days magnets --- specially thanks.
Some responses indicate that the procedure to fill He is different
with other magnets. If one follows the procedure, it will not be
easy to quench in the filling.
