I am very pleased to announce a brand new award which will be presented to a
member of the NMR community once a year at the annual IVAN NMR Users Group
pre-ENC meeting.
The IVAN Founder's Award has been established by the IVAN NMR Users Group
Board of Directors, MR Resources and Q One Instruments to recognize one or
more individuals who have demonstrated excellence in NMR community support
in alignment with IVAN's mission to facilitate on-going technical support
for NMR users. The service or work can be in any kind above and beyond the
normal scientific contributions. This can be demonstrated within the
individual's organization or to the greater NMR community.
The Founder's Award comes with an attractive engraved trophy and a check for
$1000. This year the trophy is a custom made crystal magnetically-levitated
spinning globe. The IVAN board has unanimously nominated a winner for this
year's award which will be presented at the online Zoom event IVAN Live From
Asilomar on March 28, which of course is the day before ENC 2021.
