Hi All,
We have a Varian Mercury Plus 300 running on Solaris 8 system with Vnmr 6.1C. Recently we found the root filesystem in Solaris is almost full with "df -k" command. My questions are:
1. How to clean up the root filesystem to free up space? I found in the directory "/var/tmp", there are lots of big files (screenshot attached), such as "wsconAAAE4aaSa:0.0". Can I clean up these "wsconAAA......" files in "var/tmp"?
2. Since "/dev/dsk/c0t0d0s7" (which is "export/home") is relatively big, can I increase the root filesystem of "/dev/dsk/c0t0d0s0" (which is root) by moving some space from "/dev/dsk/c0t0d0s7"? If this is possible, how to do it safely (maybe using "Solaris Management Console")?
Thank you very much for your help!
