Deal all
I am working with a static probe for solid and try to pinpoint the source of arcing in that probe.
I modified the coil to accommodate 9mm x 6mm glass plate samples. I record 31P decoupled spectra on a wide bore 400MHz Bruker spectrometer (with 1000 Watts amplifiers).
I cannot use more than about 50Watts of proton decoupling without starting to record spikes in the FID, obviously coming from arcing.
I am running out if ideas on how to fix / pinpoint the problem.
I am asking for suggestions from solid probe specialists out there. Can such a problem be fixed? How do you track down arcing to component level?
Thanks in advance for help or suggestions
