Hi all,

It's my pleasure to announce the agenda for the AMMRL portion of the
ENC: "Optimizing Successful NMR Facility Operations". We'll be
meeting Monday night in the Chapel. Traditionally, we've started at
7, but the online meeting program indicates we start at 7:15. I'd
like to default to 7 and I'll try to get the electronic program changed.

This meeting marks the 50th ENC, which is being commemorated by a
historical plenary session and other events throughout the
conference. Our contribution will be a talk describing the founding
and history of AMMRL, delivered by Jane Strouse, one of the members
of the original steering committee, with /in abstentia/ assistance
from Shaw Huang, who is credited for coming up with the idea for our
organization.

The format will be much like last year's, with a number of short
presentations, followed by parallel discussion groups, and wrapped up
with summaries of the groups' findings.

7:00 Josh Kurutz - Introduction & update on the "pulse sequence codes
as supplementary material" campaign
7:10 Evgeny Fadeev - Update on NMRWiki
7:15 Jane Strouse & Shaw Huang - "Origins & Development of AMMRL"
7:25 Deryck Webb - Intro to group discussion topic, "NMR Facility
Business Models"
7:30 Jane Strouse - Intro to group discussion topic, "Writing Shared
Instrumentation Grants"
7:35 Marc ter Hosrt - Intro to group discussion topic, "Strategies
and Guidelines for Staffing an NMR Facility"
7:40 < Group Discussions >
8:30 Deryck Webb - Summary of "NMR Facility Business Models" group
findings
8:40 Jane Strouse - Summary of "Writing Shared Instrumentation
Grants" group findings
8:50 Marc ter Horst - Sumary of "Strategies and Guidelines for
Staffing an NMR Facility" groups findings
9:00 Adjourn

For those of you attending ENC this year, I look forward to seeing
you. I understand many of our colleagues will not be traveling this
year due either by choice or because of budget cutting measures. You
will be missed, and we'll post the presentations for you on the web
as soon as practical after the meeting.

Thanks.

- Josh
