Dear all,=20

=20

Back in a while ago, I posted a question on whether there are high speed
rotors that can be used on my Varian's 4mm Nanoprobe. Several colleagues
want to know responses I received, so I pass this info here.=20

=20

Basically there are very few responses (thank you, especially Rich), and
all indicated that the design of the probe was not intended and is not
safe for higher speed rotors (>3 kHz). Varian confirmed that the
hardware of the probe was not intended for higher spinning rate. The
risk for potential damage of the probe (and the possible $$$) far
outweighs my curiosity to try to sturdy rotors (such as zocornia rotors)
at higher speed.=20

Best regards,
