Hi all,
I encourage those of you coming to ENC next week to attend the AMMRL
meeting Monday night at 7 in the chapel.
We have an exciting and useful program entitled "Bottlenecks and
Pitfalls in NMR Practice: Working Toward Collective Solutions." The
theme centers on the notion that by working together more
effectively, we can reduce the amount of time we waste duplicating
each other's efforts and solving problems someone else should have
fixed.
Our five speakers and topics are:
Evgeny Fadeev - Wikis: How to make them effective for NMR
John Markley - Cell-free expression systems: Solving the protein
sample production problem
Walt Niemzura - Software installation: An unnecessary nightmare
Eldon Ulrich - Access to pulse sequence codes: Never again ask "Does
anyone have a copy of ..."
Monika Ivancic - Our manuals and user guides: Reducing redundancy by
working with vendors, programmers, and colleagues
After introductory remarks, we'll begin with very short presentations
by our speakers/discussion leaders, then diverge into working groups
on these topics, and finish up by converging to present the finding
of the working groups.
I look forward to seeing you all there and to working with you for
the purpose of making our lives easier.
Thanks.
- Josh
