Hi Chris,
We are using a THEONXY robot to transfer solution from a 96-well plate
into NMR tubes routinely. Instead of using a long and sharp handler
which is able to reach to the bottom of NMR tube, we designed a NMR tube
rack. This NMR tube rack has 96 wells and can hold 96 NMR tube steadily.
Horizontally, it has the same size as any other regular 96-well plate,
therefore regular tips are used to transfer solution from regular plate
into NMR tubes. But, it of course cannot be used to wash NMR tubes.
Occasionally, it fails to push solution to the bottom of NMR tubes.
Generally, we are very satisfied with it.
Hope this would help.

Subject: NMR liquid handler
Greetings AMMRLers,
I'm looking for suggestions on a liquid handler for NMR
tubes, one that will take a well plate, then dilute it up and inject it
into the NMR tube, say for eight at a time. We really don't have the
funds for a flow probe (which is the obvious solution), but we do have
several autosamplers, like a Gilson 215 or a Zinsser Lissy 2002. Has
anyone successfully fitted an autosampler for automatic filling/washing
of NMR tubes? Thanks,
Chris
