NMR POSITION AVAILABLE IN DARMSTADT, GERMANY:
Varian Deutschland GmbH has an immediate opening for an NMR applications
chemist in its European NMR Applications Laboratory in Darmstadt, Germany.
Position requirements: the successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in
chemistry or equivalent and a strong background in NMR applications,
especially in solution NMR of small molecules. Experience with Varian NMR
instruments as well as knowledge of UNIX and PC software would be advantageous.
The position involves demonstrating Varian NMR equipment to customers,
especially in the area of flow-NMR and automation, and giving in-house and
on-site customer training and support for Europe, Africa and Asia. Proven
interpersonal and communication skills are therefore prerequisite for this
position. Although located in Germany, knowledge of German is not a
requirement, but the candidate must be fluent in English (both spoken and in
writing), and knowledge of French, Italian or Spanish would be an advantage.
Also, the candidate must be willing to cope with intensive traveling.
