The unix command 'last' does exist in Linux so some accounting
protocols can be the same as in unix.
Some managers process the 'last' output with Perl scripts.
One person has written his own scripts to generate lists of
who is logged on and processes that for billing
I have worked up an EXCEL protocol for processing the output
from 'last' and would be happy to forward a copy of my
locally useful procedures as a Word document to any requestees.
