Questions posed:

Two questions for academic institutions only:

a) What are your charges for spectrometer time for users in your
institution?

b) Do you use any of this revenue to provide or supplement staff salaries?
If so please provide any salient details, eg. how much of the revenue
isused for this purpose; how much salary is provided?

To get this figure, I simply summed all of the charges for all responses.
I counted each multiple response (from a single institution) for different
spectrometers as a seperate response.

b) 13 institutions do not provide any salary from their fees.

5 institutions provide staff salary.
