take on day-to-day work in NMR & mass spec, but there should still be room to
work on longer-term research. The position could be filled in a variety of
ways, but it will not be strictly an NMR position.

NMR / Analytical Chemistry Position

The Antisense Research Division of Isis Pharmaceuticals is seeking a highly
motivated individual for a position in NMR and analytical chemistry. The
successful candidate will assume responsibility for day-to-day NMR operations in
support of the entire company, while also providing limited analytical
instrumentation support to chemists within the Antisense Chemistry department.
This position requires degree in chemistry, biochemistry or a related field.
The preferred candidate will have experience in NMR methodologies and
understanding of basic NMR fundamentals. A candidate with experience in mass
spectrometry and Varian NMR spectrometers is preferred. Experience with other
analytical methodologies, computer networking, &/or the Solaris operating system
would also be welcome. Strength is required in all areas of communication,
problem solving, data analysis, and interpersonal skills.
