Oxford shim stacks

Dear Managers,
My department has asked me to put together an nmr system using a donated
oxford shim set. It is circa 1985 and may have been modified. I have
contacted oxford but so far they have not been forthcoming. I have no
internal diagrams and am having problems putting it together. The upper
shim stack doesn't seem to fit into the lower portion, although the lower
stack has both interior and exterior orings at the top suggesting it
should. Is there anyone out there with data and experience with this type
of stack that could give me a hand?
