Unless I am mistaken, from the generation of IPSO systems and TS3.6.5 onwards,
the lock field is automatically tracked to compensate for the drift down of
the magnet main field. In fact, the Lock Phase used to be a pesky problem that
would need tweaking within edlock. Newer systems can track Lock Phase change
automatically as well.
The modern 'edlock' table has options to set different 2H resonances for a
given 'lock solvent mixture' avoiding the problems of yore where the system
might lock on -OD instead of CD3, to site an example. Same goes for truly
mixed solvent systems such as D2O+MeOD. Ken's problem is perhaps neither of
the above, as folks pointed out.
