Dear Colleagues,
I have been a constant reader and occasional contributor to this forum for 21 years and have had a career mostly focused on NMR reaching back to my undergraduate research project in 1968. After 21 years at Tufts University, I now feel the time has come to retire. I suspect many of you also have responsibility as I do for other instrumentation such as mass spec, chromatography, and spectrometers over a wide range of wavelengths. I hope some of you know of suitable candidates to fill my position. We are looking for someone with a degree in chemistry, biochemistry or related field, PhD preferred, with a minimum of 5 years of experience maintaining and troubleshooting NMR spectrometers and other instrumentation, especially mass spectrometers. Chemistry department magnetic resonance instruments consist of Bruker 300 and 500 MHz NMRs and a Bruker x-band EPR. Further details about the position can be found at
https://tufts.taleo.net/careersection/ext/jobdetail.ftl?job=20001375&tz=GMT-04%3A00&tzname=America%2FNew_York. In the event that long URL gets corrupted search on Careers at Tufts.
I am happy to share my experience working at Tufts, overwhelmingly positive, with any interested people.
Thank you,
Dave Wilbur
