Hello Everyone;
I would like to get your recommendations as to whom we should get to repair a Varian room-temperature broadband probe.
Specifically, it is a 500-MHz 1H-19F/15N-31P PFG Switchable Broadband Probe (01904396-02). When we tried to run a
1H 1d at 70 deg C yesterday (and since then at 25 deg C) we had what looked like the results of field sweeping (a la CW NMR)
on the downfield side of our peaks. While the spectrum is running the lock level is very unstable, wildly gyrating up and down.
If the lock is off and both power and gain are set to 0 the spectrum appears more normal. We see similar effects (although not
as dramatic) in a 13C 1d.
Thanks in advance for your advice!
