We have a Mercury 400 system that was donated by Bristol-Myers Squibb in Sunnyvale, CA. We are trying to energize the magnet but there is a problem with our charging rod - the alignment pin is broken. I'm wondering if anyone has one of these that we could borrow until we get the magnet up to field. The top of the charging rod has two separate leads for the main coil current, not coaxial leads, and the bottom has 35 pins (actually 34 because #24 is an empty hole. The pins are arranged with 17 in the outer circle (actually 16 because #24 is missing), 12 in the medium size circle and 6 in the inner circle. I can send a Word document with the pin diagram and two views of the charging rod.
Please respond if you think you have one of these and might be willing to lend it to me, I will send the details (Word document) so you can confirm that it is the right one.
We are trying to bring this magnet up on a shoestring budget, we drove from Tucson to Sunnyvale with a U-Haul truck and brought it back, now we have replaced the seals and we're ready to cool down.
