I can really use some help on this one. We have recently acquired funding for a new high field NMR. The problem is that our local liquid Helium suppliers are balking at providing the liquid He needed for the NMR start-up. Apparently they are afraid of not being able to supply their regular users if they start supplying us. Becuase of this they are only willing to supply to medical users.
Have any of you had to go through this? If so how were you able to resolve the issue?
Also, we are talking to Praxair and Parsons Air Gas. Do any of you know of any liquid He suppliers in Northern California we might consider?
